What an evening!!! The best music around with musicians from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
This function was a fundraiser for the Ukrainian Musicians Association (UMA) to raise money for a building for The Hall of Fame.
You entered the dance hall with music greeting you at the door! The facility was beautifully decorated. Some had purchased tables so they could be together.
The meal was excellent. The show started out with The Sawchuk Sisters performing!
The feature band "Ukrainian Tradition" was from Alberta, Brandon Hachkowski and his dad Kevin, from Vegerville, along with Irene Pankiw and her son Stephen from Edmonton.
The next band up was the UMA Board of Directors band consisting of Pam Nowosad-Fedorowich, Linda Shydlowsky, Pat Krupa, Gus Janczyszyn, Dennis Yanchycki with Brandon playing fiddle and Dawson Fedorowich playing drums.
Next, Musical Legend Boris Nowosad played with his daughter Pam and Grandson Dawson; "Three Generations"!
Broken Holubchi played some high energy tunes followed by Haydn Hadway along with his PTO players, Patty Andriechuk, Lorne Nagorski, assisted by Brandon Hachkowski and Terras Kowaluk from Ridin' High.
Ukrainian Tradition welcomed in the New Year and the dancing continued for several more hours.
Door prizes were drawn for and the silent auction winners were determined. A live auction happened for the main prizes of a Canadian Basket and a Ukrainian basket. A Texas mickey was also auctioned off.
Everyone had a great time!
Happy New Year to everyone and Thank You for your support.
