Joe Wozlowski was born on March 1, 1920, in the RM of Armstrong, outside of Fraserwood.

He started playing the cymbaly (dulcimer) at age 7.

He played many wedding, socials, anniversaries and barn dances in the Interlake area and throughout Manitoba.

Some of the bands which he has played with are:  Polka Whippers, Interlake Polka Kings, Primrose Trio and Pride and Joy. 

Joe had also made many Ukrainian recordings with musicians such as Mickey and Bunny, Jim Gregrash, and Tommy Buick. 

He has played from Edmonton to Thunder Bay, including Folklorama and Dauphin Ukrainian Festival.
