MIKE PARADOWSKY

1948 - 2013

Born on June 11, 1948 at the Steinbach Hospital

Died on October 22, 2013 at St. Boniface General Hospital

A great guitar player passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65.

A resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mike was the guitar player and singer with the Frazer River Boys for 46 years.  He sang country rock.  He mastered the skill of picking and could match any top country and western picker in North America.

Music played a great role in his life.  He entertained at weddings, anniversaries and various functions throughout the provinces of Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan.  He also was the most wanted guitar player and singer of all provincial and private parks.  Wherever Mike set up his trailer was where the music echoed amidst the smoke of burning campfires.  His talent enabled the camper to appreciate their idleness in nature.

In the last eight years of his life, |Mike focused mostly on playing Country Gospel songs, and hymns of praise.  He was mostly inspired by Father Armand Le Gal, o.m.i. Who invited him to attend his Country Gospel Masses in Lorette, Manitoba.

Mike taught us to live to the fullest and to be thankful for the many days given to us.

THANK-YOU FOR YOUR GIFT OF MUSIC

NEVER TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG

Peacefully, at St. Boniface Hospital, Mike Paradowsky lost his battle with cancer at the age of 65 on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.

He played music with the Frazer River Boys since 1967 and looked forward to getting together with William and Alex Danylchuk and Harry Hawryshko who were more like brothers. Mike enjoyed camping, fishing and visiting with family and friends.
